ABOUT ABOUT

What's this show about? Based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book of the same name, Matilda follows Matilda Wormwood, a bright little girl who immerses herself in books. Matilda is discarded and belittled by her dimwitted parents—her father insists on calling her a boy and harps on her “stupidity” for preferring reading to watching the telly—and her hostile headmistress, the outrageous and wicked Miss Trunchbull. Reclusive, but with an ever-growing imagination and sharp mind, and with a caring protector in her teacher Miss Honey, Matilda dreams of a better life, daring to take a stand against unjust forces and to grasp her destiny in her own, tiny hands.

How long is this performance? 2hrs, 15 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.

As a parent, is there any content I should worry about? If this were a movie, it would be rated PG due to some scary/thrilling moments. Additionally, this production uses euphemisms in the place of some common swear words. For example, the cast says "L" instead of "h*ll".

Important. This production uses flashing lights and water-based theatrical fog and haze. If the fog and haze enter the house, while it does have a unique scent, it is safe to breathe.
